Music Sheet of Kuhlau
The genres of Kuhlau's piano works include sonatas (including sonatinas), variations, rondos, marches, dances, overtures (arrangements of their own opera works), piano concertos (one song), piano quartets ( 3 songs).

“He is a famous unknown composer”, says Kuhlaus Expert Jørgen Erichsen (Danish Kuklau researcher). At first glance it is a contradictory expression, but it's "explainable" to describe Kuhlau. That's because Kuhlau is known to pianists all over the world by Sonatine Album but is not truly rated. "Kuhrau is a composer for “Piano Sonatine" is like saying, "Beethoven is a composer for “For Elise”.

If you count Kuhlau's works individually, there are more than 550, of which about half are piano works. The famous piano "Sonatine" is only a small part of it. Many other works were forgotten and slept in the library.

IFKS has published all of Kuhlau's two-hand works. Click <click> at the place of publication date to link to the explanation of each genre.
